Social Media Engagement and Wellbeing
At EMC, we value open, respectful, and constructive conversations across all our social media channels. We welcome engagement from clients, partners, employees, and the wider community, and we encourage healthy discussion, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas.
At the same time, we recognise that social media can have a significant impact on wellbeing and mental health. In the interest of maintaining a positive and supportive environment, we take an active approach to moderating interactions across our platforms. Our aim is to ensure that all discussions remain professional and aligned with our company values.
Internally, all EMC colleagues have access to our Social Media Best Practice Guidelines, which clearly outline the standards of behaviour expected from anyone posting on behalf of, or representing, EMC. These guidelines promote responsible, respectful, and brand-aligned communication online.
Externally, we apply the same principles of respect and professionalism through our moderation policy, ensuring that our social media channels remain safe and constructive spaces for conversation.
If you ever have concerns about content or behaviour on any of our channels, we encourage you to reach out to our communications team so we can review and take appropriate action.

- Defamatory or potentially libelous statements or accusations.
- Unconstructive, off-topic, or deliberately disruptive comments that do not contribute to healthy discussion.
- Spam or promotional material unrelated to EMC, including unsolicited advertising or links to third-party products and services.
- Unauthorised use of copyrighted images or materials, or any content that infringes intellectual property or license agreements.
- Content containing discriminatory or harmful language, including insults, slurs, ridicule, mockery, intimidation, or offensive humour.
- Links to unverified, misleading, or inappropriate websites or sources.
We take the safety and wellbeing of our online community seriously. Therefore, users who repeatedly or deliberately breach these rules — particularly with malicious or harmful intent — may be banned, blocked, or reported to the relevant platform administrators.
EMC reserves the right to take further action, where necessary, to protect our colleagues, clients, and digital community from harassment, misinformation, or unlawful behaviour.
